Paul is a joint founder and Managing Director of MAP Corporate and Chief Executive Officer of MAP Capital. He leads the corporate M&A practice within the firm. Paul has extensive management and corporate finance experience having worked as Chief Financial Officer for Damovo Australia, Ericsson Corporate Networks and ACTTAB Ltd in senior management and with KPMG and Ernst & Young in corporate consulting. Paul’s domain expertise is in the areas of telecommunications, information technology, gaming, digital and traditional media.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne), is a member of the Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Tim is a senior director with the group and is an experienced financial services executive. Tim has also had significant operational experience and was the Finance Director of Horizon Petroleum (as well as 50% equity owner), which operated 16 regional service stations, 1 supermarket, wholesale fuel and transport business, with 160 staff, turnover $75m. The business was sold in 2007. Prior to this Tim had 3 years with Macquarie Bank, as a Division Director of Equity Capital Markets division. Tim also worked for ANZ Bank, Derivatives Product Group (Melbourne and London), where he lead many transactions.
Tim holds a law degree from the University of Melbourne (LL.B B. Comm) and has completed the Company Directors Course (GAICD) 2008.
Director | Property
Steve is an experienced real estate executive with 10 years asset & funds management experience across office, retail, industrial and self-storage sectors. Prior to establishing Cyclum, Steve was a Fund Manager at APN Property Group, an ASX listed real estate fund manager. Steve was responsible for four separate unlisted property funds containing some 60 assets with a value of approximately $350 million. Steve’s experience spans a diverse range of disciplines including asset management, capital management, real estate capital transaction, financial modelling and due diligence. Prior to APN, Steve worked as an asset manager with Investa Property Group, one of Australia’s leading office REITs.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Planning & Design (Property & Construction) and a Bachelor of Property & Construction (Honours), both from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Certificate of Applied Finance from FINSIA. Steve is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute (AAPI) and a Professional Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Steve is employed by Cyclum.
Tineyi works across Map Capital’s corporate M&A practice and private equity business; reviewing and assessing new investment opportunities, completing transaction execution and providing corporate advisory services.
Tineyi previously worked at PwC and spent time in private client mergers and acquisitions, transaction services teams; advising on various corporate and private equity engagements. Prior to this he worked in the PwC Financial Services Group (asset management, banking/capital markets, insurance and diversified industries), spending time in the New York Office.
Tineyi is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and holds a Bachelor of Finance (La Trobe University).
Ryan joined MAP Capital in February 2010 having previously spent three years working within the Investment Banking Division of a large international investment bank based in London. Prior to his time in London, Ryan spent over three years in Melbourne working within the Restructuring team at a Big 4 accounting and advisory firm.
Ryan has been involved in a range of mergers and acquisitions transactions (both buy-side and sell-side), capital raisings, restructurings, due diligence assignments and expert valuation reports, and has had significant experience in structuring debt financing for M&A activities, all across a wide range of industries.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne), a Diploma of Information Systems (University of Melbourne), and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
Director | Property
Dumindha has over 15 years’ experience in corporate advisory in Australia and the United Kingdom. He has worked with his clients on property related capital transactions, mergers & acquisitions, funds management, corporate restructuring and financial modelling. Prior to forming Cyclum, Dumindha worked within the Corporate Finance team of APN Property Group, an ASX listed real estate fund manager. Dumindha’s broad skill set includes merger & acquisitions, financial modelling, accounting, financial due diligence and real estate capital transactions. Before APN Property Group, Dumindha was an Associate Director within KPMG’s Financial Advisory Services team. At KPMG, Dumindha advised some of Australia’s largest corporate organisations, including; BP, Tabcorp, Healthscope, Unilever, Asciano and Toll Holdings.
Dumindha is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia, and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. Dumindah is employed by Cyclum.
Dean works within MAP Capital’s M&A practice and private equity business; reviewing and assessing new investment opportunities, driving transactions, and providing corporate advisory services.
Further, Dean currently holds active senior management roles across a number of MAP Capital’s portfolio companies.
Dean has also been involved in capital raising for a number of early stage private companies, both domestically and internationally.
Prior to joining MAP Capital, Dean specialized in both tax consulting and business advisory services with several accounting firms over a 5 year period.
Dean holds a Bachelor of Accounting (RMIT University, Melbourne).
Joint Managing Director
John is the Joint Managing Director of MAP Corporate (NSW) John has extensive experience in equity capital markets, hedge funds and portfolio management. John was an International Portfolio Manager with the Lowy Family Group responsible for managing the international equities portfolio.
Before this, he was with Macquarie Group (1992 – 2003) where he held Directorship roles in equities, Asian equity broking and hedge fund distribution. John was responsible for launching and building Macquarie’s Asian equity broking business as well as responsible for global Hedge Fund product distribution, establishing and managing over 50 accounts including Och Ziff, Citadel, Soros, Elliott and Indus Capital. John has a long established and extensive network in Asia amongst corporates, investment banks, analysts, hedge fund managers, amongst others. Prior to this, he was an Analyst and Portfolio Manager with Prudential, where the funds he was involved in managing were consistently in the top quartile of performance.
John holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a CPA and an associate member of FINSIA.
Robert is an Executive Director of MAP Capital Pty Ltd.
Robert has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
Robert was a senior investment adviser at Macquarie Private Wealth. He provided investment advice to high net worth (“HNW”) and ultra-high net worth (“UHNW”) individuals in the Asia Pacific region, encompassing asset allocation, structuring and investment selection. Prior to this he held similar roles as a Director with UBS Wealth Management and before that with Merrill Lynch Private.
Prior to his career as an investment adviser, Robert worked overseas, principally in Switzerland, as the Deals Desk Head for the Metals and Minerals Division of Trafigura Beheer BV, a physical commodity trader. Robert was responsible for the management of the Global Derivatives book encompassing both the hedging of physical price risk and all proprietary trading activities.
Robert is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne), is PS146 Accredited and was an Accredited Derivatives Adviser Levels 1 & 2 with Macquarie Equities
